Nemanja Dragaš

Nemanja Dragaš , ( Serbian - Cyrillic Немања Драгаш ; born July 6, 1992 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian poet and film producer .

Life

Nemanja Dragaš attended elementary school and high school in Pljevlja (Montenegro). Since 2012 he has been one of the youngest members of the Serbian Literature Association. He is studying at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade at the chair for Production in Arts and Media of Prof. Dr. Dejana Prnjat.

In 2008 Dragaš published his first collection of poems “Fantazija u plavom” ( Fantasy in the Blue ). In 2010 this was followed by “Microphoneija zrelosti” ( Microphone of Maturity ), in 2014 “Obećani svemir” ( The Promised Universe ) and 2015 “Okovani satima” ( Tied up for hours ). He has won awards at numerous literary competitions and festivals. His poems have been published in magazines and poetry collections. In addition to his literary work, Dragaš works as a film producer.

Literary reception

In 2014 Nemanja Dragaš took 1st place in the renowned poetry festival of young authors in Vrbas . The poetry collection “Obećani svemir” (2014) contains four cycles: “Ne vraćaj me” (10 poems), “Somot i prašina” (10), “Lakše od stvarnosti” (8) and “Četvrti zid” (10). Many of the words in this collection of poems have a symbolic character, including the number four . a. Symbolizes wholeness, totality, solidarity, earth, series, relativity, law, etc. A symbolic meaning is also assigned to the water , which is also the title of the first poem in the collection. Dragaš stands in the middle of the world, in front of the blank sheet of paper, which one should fill in with experiences and reception. This gives the reader the opportunity to think about their own loneliness.

Part of the poem "We interrupted time" ("Upali smo vremenu u reč") reads:

Birds who replace their wings with sails,

cannot skillfully defy the clouds and airplanes.

The times will come that won't have us anymore

And some roses will again defend their children with thorns.

On the day that is only perceived thanks to the paths

all persons of the singular and plural will leave their mark.

Work in the film sector

In 2012, Nemanja Dragaš was a member of the student selection jury for the best student films from all international film schools - CILECT . He also took part in the organization of the 40th FEST International Film Festival .
