The Neny Island is an approximately 3.1 km long and up to a height of 675 m soaring island off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located around 1.5 km northwest of the Roman Four Promontory and immediately north of the entrance to the Neny Fjord .
It was discovered by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . It is named in connection with the fjord of the same name, the name of which goes back to the French polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot .
