The company Neo Solar Power , based in Taipei ( Taiwan ) is one of the world's largest manufacturer of solar cells . It was founded in 2005.

In Taiwan, the company has three factories in Hsinchu , Tainan and Zhunan ( Miaoli County ), and a fourth factory has been set up in Wujiang ( Jiangsu Province ) in the People's Republic of China .

In August 2011, Sam Hong, then President and COO of Neo Solar Power Corp., was elected chairman of the Taiwan Photovoltaic Industry Association (TPVIA).

On May 31, 2013, Neo Solar Power merged with Delsolar and thus became - in terms of capacity - the largest solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan.

The stock has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since January 12, 2009 (stock number 3576).

The company plays an important role internationally on the Taiwanese stock exchange . On March 7, 2013, around 34 million shares were traded, which corresponds to a value of around 27 million US dollars. This placed Neo Solar's shares in third place in the industry in terms of daily trading volume, behind US competitors First Solar ($ 152 million in NASDAQ ) and Sunpower ($ 39 million).

The company has been listed in the Photovoltaik Global 30 Index from the start .
