Neoplan Starliner
The Starliner was a touring coach from the bus manufacturer Neoplan, part of the MAN SE Group . It was the brand's top model. The vehicle was built in two generations from 1996 to 2015.
Starliner 1
The Starliner 1 touring coach was produced in the Stuttgart plant from 1996 to 2004 as a 2 and 3-axle vehicle. A new feature of the Starliner was the individual ventilation of the passenger seats, which was offered for the first time, without any nozzle set above the passenger. Instead, the vehicles had adjustable dials near the windows that regulated the airflow.

Starliner 2
The second and last generation, the Starliner 2 , was presented by Neoplan in 2004 at the IAA International Motor Show.
The first vehicle of the 2nd generation was handed over to a customer in Stuttgart in May 2005.
The Starliner 2 is 2.55 m wide and 3.9 m high. It is offered in two different lengths: 13.99 m and 12.99 m. Both versions are three-axle and are driven by a 324 kW (440 PS) six-cylinder and have the required Euro 4 emissions standard. All versions are available in the 4-star classification or as the 5-star standard and can accommodate up to 59 or 63 Transporting passengers. The interior was designed by Neoplan designer Andrea Lipp, while the front and rear were designed by Michael Streicher.
The Starliner 2 was initially produced and sold in the Plauen and Stuttgart plants (final assembly), then until the plant in Pilsting was closed and then again in Plauen. The Starliner was, among other things, the bus of the Formula 1 team Toyota or the basketball Bundesliga team WALTER Tigers Tübingen .
In May 2014 it became known that MAN plans to close production at the last German production facility in Plauen in 2015. While the Cityliner only experienced a change of production location to Turkey, production of the Starliner was completely stopped in May 2015.
