Nepomuk customs officer

Nepomuk Zöllner (born February 21, 1923 in Marktredwitz ; † July 10, 2017 in Munich ) was a German internist .

Live and act

From 1953 Zöllner worked under Walter Seitz at the Medical Polyclinic of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and received his habilitation in internal medicine in 1954 and was appointed adjunct professor in 1960 . In 1973, as Seitzen's successor, he was appointed full professor of internal medicine and director of the medical polyclinic in Pettenkoferstrasse. In 1993 he retired.

From 1985 to 1986 he was chairman of the German Society for Internal Medicine (DGIM). He held the presidency of the 92nd Congress of Internists in 1986 in Wiesbaden.

Zöllner was one of the most recognized gout researchers because of his clinical and experimental nutritional research .
