The Nervous Germans are a German new wave group from the early 1980s.
The group was founded in 1980 by Grant Stevens together with Micki Meuser , Edgar Liebert and Manni Holländer. Grant Stevens and Micki Meuser were the consistency of the group, whereas the rest of the members changed frequently, which is evident from the many former members with only two albums.
They performed mainly in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Switzerland and Austria.
history
In 1981 they released their debut album Nervöse Deutschen (English publication name: Desolation Zone 1982), in which Udo Dahmen von Kraan played the drums. Their second album Summer of Love from 1983 was also their last album, they broke up after an appearance (with Mitch Ryder) on July 1, 1984 in Linnich .
The name Nervous Germans was suggested to Micki Meuser by Alex Londner, probably with a view to Germany as a possible nuclear battlefield after the NATO double resolution of 1979. They had just founded the LP "If my songs are no longer correct as a backing band for Bettina Wegner in 1980 "recorded.
Nervous Germans had a recording session with legendary English radio DJ John Peel ( Peel Sessions ) in October 1980, produced by Bob Sargeant ( The Beat ).
According to the band's official Facebook website, there was a re-establishment at the end of 2012. The Nervous Germans are currently working on new material that can be heard during the rehearsal. This assumption is supported by active song publications.
