Nery McKeen

Nery McKeen (born April 26, 1957 ) is a former Cuban middle-distance runner who was also used in the 4-by-400-meter relay because of her sprinting strength .

She won bronze over 800 m at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1978.

In 1979 she was fifth over 800 at the Pan American Games in San Juan and took silver in the 4-by-400-meter relay.

This was followed by over 800 m silver at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships in 1981 and gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1982 and the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1983.

At the Pan American Games in Caracas in 1983 , she triumphed over 800 m and won bronze in the Cuban 4 x 400 meter relay. In the same year she won the Ibero-American Championships over 800 m.

In 1985 she won silver at the Central America and Caribbean Championships in the 800 m and 1500 m . The following year bronze over 1500 m at the Central American and Caribbean Games and bronze over 800 m at the Ibero-American Championships followed.
