Nesar Ahmad Bahave

Nesar Ahmad Bahave ( Persian نثاراحمد بهاوی; * March 27, 1984 in Kapisa ) is an Afghan Taekwondoin .

Bahave landed his first international success in 2006 at the Asian Games in Doha by winning the bronze medal in the weight class up to 72 kilograms. The following year he celebrated his greatest sporting success so far with the silver medal in the lightweight at the World Championships in Beijing. This was the first medal that an Afghan athlete could ever win at a world championship.

In April 2008 he reached fifth place in his weight class at the 18th Asian Championships. An invitation from a joint commission of the World Taekwondo Federation and the International Olympic Committee secured him a start at the 2008 Summer Olympics . There he was the flag bearer of the Afghan team at the opening ceremony.

Behave also qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London . There he was defeated in the battle for the bronze medal to the Italian Mauro Sarmiento with 0: 4 points.
