Big cities Bochum

The Nettelbecke is a flowing water in Bochum-Stiepel and a tributary of the Ruhr . It is largely piped. It rises at the farm at Nettelbeckstrasse 14, from there it flows west of Düsterstrasse through the depression on Strasse Vorm Felde into the valley below the Protestant cemetery. In 1930 the brook was channeled.

The mouth is roughly at the level of the power plant island in Brockhausen ( Blankenstein hydropower plant ).
