Neudeck is a hamlet belonging to Langenbrettach in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg .

location

Neudeck is about a kilometer southeast of the center of the Langenbrettach district of Langenbeutingen.

history

Neudeck Castle , seat of the Lords of Neudeck , was once located in the village . With the decline of the noble family, the place came to Hohenlohe . Engelhard von Neudeck sold part of the castle and village of Neudeck to Konrad von Helmstatt in 1326, and another part to Kraft von Hohenlohe in 1330. In 1332 and 1334 further shares were sold to Neudeck, Beutingen and Weyer. In 1335 the Helmstatt shares in Neudeck also came to Hohenlohe.

The castle was demolished around 1800 and its stones were used as building material for roads and buildings.

In the northeast of the hamlet there was once a mill that was operated by a mill canal branching off from the Brettach .
