Neudeck is a settlement in the municipality of Plothen in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
geography
Neudeck and Plothen are to the west of the federal motorway 9 , which also partially touches the boundaries of both districts. The districts are located on a wooded landscape interspersed with lakes or ponds in the southeast Thuringian slate mountains . This plateau, shaped by monks , lies to the west in the direction of Dreba and Knau . The federal autobahn and the surrounding areas can be reached via state road 1077 and state road 2349, which runs through the town.
history
Neudeck was first mentioned in a document in 1527, but Plothen was already mentioned on May 13, 1264.
Nevertheless, for centuries the Plothenbach separated the districts (which actually aren't!) In Orlagau and Wisentaland.
In summary, agriculture, forestry, fishing and tourism shaped the beautiful landscape, the country and its people.
