The NMS 6 St. Peter is a new middle school in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee .
Educational work, equipment and offers
The NMS 6 St. Peter has 9 classes from 5th to 8th grade with 215 students (as of 2014/15).
In addition to the compulsory language tuition in English , the school also offers Italian and four South Slavic languages , Slovenian , Bosnian , Croatian and Serbian .
In 2012 the school was nominated for the Austrian School Prize.
Social
The People's Aid Carinthia , supported by the city of Klagenfurt , offers all children a free breakfast. These then help with washing the dishes. According to Vice Mayor Jürgen Pfeiler, this social project has an integrative background and must also be seen in the light of increasing child poverty .
