Neuendorf A is a district of the municipality of Ducherow in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Until the end of 2011 Neuendorf A was an independent municipality with the districts of Kurtshagen and Neuendorf A.
Geography and traffic
Neuendorf A is on federal highway 109 . Anklam is about 18 km northwest and Ueckermünde about 13 km east of the village.
The Angermünde – Stralsund railway runs through the local area, but never had a train station here; the nearest train station is Ducherow , six kilometers north.
Neuendorf A is located on the western edge of the Ueckermünder Heide .
history
The town of Neuendorf was first mentioned in 1317. Neuendorf A was named as Niendorp 1618 on the Lubin map. With the addition A it was first written in 1779, then again for a long time without or alternating with a or b and only officially from 1957 with A.
The manor Neuendorf belonged to u. a. the families von Schwerin and von Borcke . The mansion is / was (?) A two-story plastered building. The estate park with rare trees was laid out around 1700.
On January 1, 2012 Neuendorf A was incorporated into the municipality of Ducherow.
