The New Automobile and Traffic Club (NAVC) is a German automobile club that was founded in 1965 from what was then the DKW Club Association. The initial name NAC (Neuer Deutscher Automobil-Club) became the NAVC in 1970. The club administration is located in Gerzen ( Bavaria ). The NAVC does not operate its own breakdown assistance and tow trucks , but ensures these services through contracts with external companies. As a service company, the contractual partner is currently Europ Assistance for services at home and abroad such as towing and breakdown assistance, vehicle collection and much more.

structure

The association is organized by a presidium elected by the local club delegates. This consists of the first, second and sports president. The presidium is supplemented by the chairman of the advisory board of the regional associations. The club is divided into 12 regional associations. A total of 74 local clubs belong to the individual regional associations. The program of the local clubs consists of many amateur motor sport and social events.

Motorsport

The association represents a part of the German amateur racing scene in the disciplines of slalom , slalom mountain, hill climbs , circuit race , orientation tour , Rally , Kart Slalom and kart racing. NAVC Motorsport is regulated by the German Amateur Motorsport Commission, which also announces championships in all areas.

Youngsters from the age of 8 can gain their first experience on the club's own karts under the guidance of instructors .
