The New Düren-Ost cemetery is the main cemetery in the district town of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The city of Düren has 16 cemeteries where burials are still possible. They are operated by the Düren service company as non-legal public institutions of the city of Düren. The administration for all Düren cemeteries is located in the entrance area. The cemetery is located at the confluence of the An St. Bonifatius street with Friedenstraße and is number 76.

In 1895 the town bought 25 acres of land in the Rossfeld district to build a central cemetery. This construction was necessary because the previous cemetery on Kölnstrasse was too small. This former cemetery is now designed as a park and bears the name Konrad-Adenauer-Park .

The new Düren-Ost cemetery has been in use since September 1, 1903. As early as December 28, 1905, the city council decided to expand the New Cemetery. Over the years, the cemetery has been expanded in the direction of Distelrath .

Next to the mourning hall, a mourning café with a meeting place was built in 2010, which is operated by the Düren Society for Employment Promotion .

The cemetery is built as a park and is used by many people from Düren as a walking area.
