The new town hall of Weißenburg in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen is only about 100 meters away from the old town hall , within the listed old town of Weißenburg. The New Town Hall forms the geographical center of the old town. The building is at Marktplatz  19.

The previous building of the town hall was a pharmacy that was destroyed in the Thirty Years War . At the end of the 17th century, the first significant baroque building in Weißenburg was built as a wine bar called the Golden Dove . There are several valuable stucco ceilings that still exist in this building . In the 18th century it became a silver braid manufacture. After the factory went bankrupt in 1828, the city of Weißenburg bought the building. From 1834 to 1905 the tax office was located in the building . It has been the city's new town hall since 1920. Weissenburg's administration was previously located in the old Gothic town hall at the other end of the market square for several hundred years . The New Town Hall was renovated from 1996 to 1998.

The three-story main building has a hipped roof . In addition to the main building, the New Town Hall consists of the Rent Office building and a farm barn . The two-storey arable barn is a town house with a gable roof and dates from 1468. It has a modern, multiple award-winning steel and glass structure. A dwelling from the first half of the 18th century also belongs to the building .
