New point

As new point designate geodesics (surveyors) a einzumessenden point whose position is not coordinated is known. Whether the new point is measured terrestrially , by means of photogrammetry or satellite navigation is irrelevant for the designation.

As soon as the new point has been calculated in terms of its position, its coordinates are entered in a database and a topography - or, in the earlier usual procedure, in a point list. In most cases, there is a classification into different point types, which can be hierarchically ordered - e.g. B. (future) fixed point , general survey point , switch-on point, auxiliary point, GPS or other control point , building, alignment or boundary point , etc.
