Neusurpa Yeshe Bar

Neusurpa Yeshe Bar (Tib. SNe'u zur pa Ye shes' bar ; * 1042 ; † 1118 ) or briefly Neusurpa ( sNe'u zur pa ) was an important clergyman of the Kadam tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . He was the main student of Gönpawa ( dgon pa ba ), the 3rd Khenpo of the Radreng Monastery , and after his death also of Potowa .

He is the founder of the Neusur Monastery in Phenyül ( 'phan yul ).

His student Gyergom Chenpo ( gyer sgom chen po ; 1090–1171) perfected his teaching and founded the Rinchengang monastery ( Rin chen sgang dgon pa chin. Renjinggang si 仁 进 岗 寺) in Gyama Rinchengang ( Rgya ma Rin chen sgang ). Another of his students, Changchub Gedze ( byang chub dge mdzes ; 1084–1167), resided in the monastery (Chinese) Dajian (Dajian si 达 坚 寺).
