Never Seen the Light of Day is the fourth studio album by the Swedish band Mando Diao . It was produced by Björn Olsson . The album was recorded in 2007 during a world tour. Front man Björn Dixgård said in an interview that the band was dissatisfied with their management and had enough of the boring studio, so they recorded the album independently in a small studio with producer Björn Olsson. The album was called "Never Seen the Light of Day" because the band didn't expect it to be released and thought that the album would never see the light of the day.

The album was preceded by the single If I Don't Live Today, I Might Be Here Tomorrow on September 24, 2007 . The titles of the album are considered to be calmer and more sensitive than the actual nature of the band.
