The New Year Pass ( English for New Year Pass is) a low-lying mountain pass in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Elizabeth Range of the Transantarctic Mountains , it runs between the Moore Mountains and Mount Weeks .
The New Zealand group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) used this pass on New Year's Day 1958 to get from the Marsh Glacier to January Col on the Prince Andrew Plateau above the Bowden Firnfield .
