Nicholas Burgard (born September 21, 1994 in Schaffhausen ) is a German basketball player .

career

After his basketball beginnings with the Schaffhausen 96ers, Burgard played in the 2009/10 season thanks to a "double license" in the men's team of TV 1872 Saarlouis in the first regional league. In the 2010/11 season he played for the U19 team of TBB Trier in the junior basketball league and also had a game license for assignments with ATSV Saarbrücken in the second regional league.

Between 2011 and 2014 Burgard played seven games in the 2. Bundesliga ProA for the Ehingen / Urspring School syndicate and gained additional match experience in the Urspring team in the second regional league and in the U19 youth team. In December 2012 he was the first foreign team to win the Arby's Classic, a traditional tournament in the US state of Tennessee , and in 2013 he was German U19 champion.

For the 2014/15 season he went to the United States to continue his basketball career in the university sports system there and to start studying. After a year at the University of Alaska Anchorage ( NCAA Division 2), Burgard moved to Western Wyoming Community College . With "WWCC" he took part in the games of the NJCAA , the league of two-year universities. In 2016 he moved again, this time to Northern New Mexico College ( NAIA ). In the 2017/18 season he was used for the university team from the city of Española in 21 games and scored an average of 3.3 points per game, after having achieved averages of 6.7 points and 3.8 in 25 matches in the previous game year Rebounds had come.

In 2018 he returned to Germany and in August 2018 joined the regional league team SG DJK Saarlouis-Roden / BBF Dillingen.

National team

Burgard played international matches for the German national team in the U16 age range.
