Nicholas Davis Junior
Nicholas Davis, Jr. (born January 14, 1825 in Athens , Limestone County , Alabama , † November 3, 1875 in Huntsville , Madison County , Alabama) was an American politician from the 19th century.
He was a member of the Alabama State Legislature in 1851 . Then ten years later, in 1861, he represented Alabama at its secession convention . When Deputy Thomas Fearn left the Provisional Confederate Congress , Davis took his place on April 29, 1861. He also served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War . He held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the 5th Alabama Battalion .
Davis died in Huntsville and was buried there in Maple Hill Cemetery .
