Nicholas "Nic" Westaway (born January 20, 1989 in Margaret River , Western Australia ) is an Australian actor .

Life

Nicholas Westaway was born in Margaret River , Western Australia in January 1989 and grew up there with two brothers. In his youth he learned guitar and piano. He has also practiced several sports such as basketball , volleyball and surfing . He made his decision to act while in high school when he was taking acting classes. He received a sports degree from the University of Western Australia , which he dropped out for acting. He moved to Perth at the age of 19 and attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, which he graduated in 2011. He has lived in Sydney since the end of 2011 .

Between 2009 and 2011 he appeared in the short films Running: A Western Australian Short , Happy Haven and Bonsai . His breakthrough came with the role of Kyle Braxton in the soap opera Home and Away , in which he can be seen since August 8, 2012.
