Nickolas Butler

Nickolas Butler (born October 2, 1979 in Allentown, Pennsylvania ) is an American writer.

Life

Nickolas Butler grew up in Eau Claire , Wisconsin and studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison . He attended the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop .

Butler got by doing odd jobs. His short stories have been published in Plowshares , The Kenyon Review Online, The Lumberyard, The Christian Science Monitor , Narrative and Sixth Finch magazines . His first novel was published in 2013.

Butler has received various grants and awards from regional literary award foundations.

Butler is married with two children and lives in the Wisconsin countryside.
