Nicholas John "Nicky" Robinson (born January 3, 1982 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used in the position of the connector . He plays for the Gloucester RFC and has so far made twelve appearances for the Welsh national team .

Robinson began his career at Cardiff RFC , for whose men's team he first appeared in the 2000/01 season. When the Cardiff Blues were formed, he was transferred to this regional team. At the end of the 2008/09 season he moved to England for the Gloucester RFC .

In 2003 he was first nominated for the Welsh national team and made his debut against Ireland . In the following years it was mainly used during the summer tours, where the national teams of the northern hemisphere traditionally do not compete with their strongest players. In 2009 he publicly announced that he was among the broader group of players for the British and Irish Lions Tour .
