Nico Kanitz (born May 13, 1980 in Wurzen ) is a German football player .

Career

Kanitz began his career in the youth of VfB Leipzig , where he was taken over in 1999 in the first team. In 2003 Kanitz moved to local rivals FC Sachsen Leipzig , where he only stayed one season. At his next club, Chemnitzer FC , he also only stayed one season. In 2005 he switched to the Stuttgarter Kickers , where he made 37 appearances in two years, but was replaced ten times and eight times.

In 2007 Kanitz moved to Halleschen FC , who was playing in the Oberliga Nordost at the time . In 2008 he qualified for the new Regionalliga Nord with the Halle team. Four years later Kanitz rose to the 3rd division with HFC , where he made his professional debut on July 21, 2012 (1st matchday) in the home game against Kickers Offenbach (1-0) when he made his professional debut in the 44th minute for Sören Eismann was substituted on. In summer 2013, his contract in Halle was no longer renewed. Then Kanitz joined the association league club VfB IMO Merseburg . Three years later, in the summer of 2016, he switched to the regional league for SV Naunhof 1920 .
