Nicola Böcker-Giannini

Nicola Böcker-Giannini (* 1975 in Ratingen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life

Böcker-Giannini studied sports science and received his doctorate from the University of Cologne in curative education and rehabilitation science . She works as a self-employed educational advisor.

politics

In 1998 Böcker-Giannini joined the SPD. In the following year she became chairwoman of the Jusos in Hürth . After moving to Berlin , she was a member of the Neukölln District Council from 2011 to 2016 . In the election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , she initially ran unsuccessfully for the direct mandate in the Neukölln 1 constituency . It achieved 22.2% of the vote and was defeated by Anja Kofbinger from Bündnis '90 / Die Grünen . After Karin Korte waived her mandate as a result of her election to the Neukölln district office Böcker-Giannini moved up to parliament on March 6, 2018 via the district list.
