Nicola Belmonte (born April 15, 1987 in Cosenza ) is an Italian football player who has been under contract with the Italian second division club AC Perugia Calcio since 2015 .

Career

Nicola Belmonte began his career in the youth of AS Bari . For the 2004/05 season he was awarded to AS Melfi in the C2 series, in which he played his first games as a professional. After he returned to Bari the following season, he was accepted into the professional squad of AS Bari. In his first season with the Apulians, he could not push himself for a regular place and received only a few missions. In the following two years he completed about half of all Serie B games for Bari and placed with the team mostly in the middle of the table of the second-highest Italian division. In the summer of 2008, the first division club AC Siena bought him . The Tuscans he made his debut in the match against Reggina Calcio on 31 May 2009 in the Serie A . This was also his only assignment for Siena. On June 26, 2009 AS Bari announced the return of the defender. He was initially signed as a loan player until the end of the season. In 2011 he returned to Siena and completed three more seasons until the dissolution in 2014.

In July 2014, Udinese signed Calcio Belmonte. In January 2015 he switched to Catania Calcio for which he only played for half a year. In July 2015, Belmonte signed with AC Perugia Calcio .

National team

Belmonte played in the Italian U-17 , U-18 , U-19 and U-20 national teams . He made a total of 16 international matches for all of Italy's national youth teams.
