Nicolae Păun
Nicolae Păun (born November 9, 1964 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian politician from the Roma ethnic group .
Păun is chairman of the Roma party and has held the seat in the Romanian Chamber of Deputies , which is reserved for the Roma , since 2000 . Since 2000 he has also been President of the Committee on Human Rights, Religions and Minority Issues in the country in the Chamber of Deputies.
Nicolae Păun is one of only two Roma politicians in the current Romanian parliament. The second is Mădălin Voicu from the Social Democratic Party (PSD).
