Nicolas-Henri Jardin
Nicolas-Henri Jardin (* 22. March 1720 in St-Germain-des-Noyers , † 31 August 1799 in Paris ) was a French architect of classicism and garden designers.
Jardin was trained at the Académie Royale d'Architecture in Paris and lived in Rome from 1740 , where classicism developed around this time . In 1754 he was appointed by Frederick V to the Academy of Arts in Copenhagen . In the following 15 years he shaped the style of all important new buildings in Denmark . His most important student and successor at the academy was Caspar Frederik Harsdorff .
