Nicolas Errèra (born May 21, 1967 in Paris ) is a French composer .

Life

Nicolas Errèra is the son of a playwright and a set designer. During his youth he played theater. He completed his Baccalauréat with majors in natural sciences and philosophy. During this time he studied music at the École Normale de Musique de Paris , where he had piano with Serge Petigirard , composition with Max Deutsch and harmony with Joanne Richer .

Together with Ariel Wizman , Errèra founded the electro-pop group Grand Popo Football Club in 1998 . With Shampoo Victims and Venom in the Grass , two albums have been released so far in 2000 and 2010. Together with Jean Croc , Errèra founded the pop band Rouge Rouge . So far, only one album has been released in 2003, Ce soir, après dîner .

With the comedy Unter Frauen , directed by Claude Confortès , Errèra made his debut as a film composer for a feature film at the age of 17. Since then he has been responsible for the music of over 70 film and television productions, composing not only for French but also for international productions. He was responsible for the music of Chinese films such as Shaolin , Xie bu ya zheng and So duk .
