action

The police officer Vincent and a colleague ambush two drug couriers and take the valuable goods from them. One of the couriers is killed by the police. During the fight, Vincent is injured by one of the gangsters and is seriously stabbed. Since one of the crooks removes his mask and the attack takes place in broad daylight, he is recognized. When he arrives at the police station, the murder is reported to the gangster and, ironically, he and his colleague have to go to the scene of the accident and question witnesses. The drugs were on their way to the Corsican gangster Marciano. He learns very quickly who is behind the attack and has Vincent's son kidnapped. Marciano himself has a deal with a Turkish - Cape Verdean criminal organization. Their couriers would not be enthusiastic about the disappearance of the drugs. Marciano Vincent calls immediately. He makes it clear to him that Vincent has to return the drugs that evening to see his son alive again.

Vincent goes to Marciano's Le Tarmac nightclub with a bag full of drugs and first hides the drugs in the men's room and then goes to Marciano's office. In the discotheque, however, there are also drug investigators Lacombe and Vignali, whereby Lacombe himself is corrupt and makes a pact with Marciano. They take the drugs and now hide them in the ladies' room. As part of the further action, Vincent experiences a nightmare of fear, despair and violence. A duel develops between Marciano's men, Cape Verdean gangsters and the drug investigators, at the end of which most of the protagonists are dead. The seriously injured Vincent is brought to the hospital by his son, where the film ends with an uncertain ending.

production

Immediately after reading the script, Sisley assured his participation in the project. Sisley performed all of the stunts himself. The discotheque was built especially for the film. The film was shot in Belgium and Luxembourg.

“Thrilling adrenaline cinema, whose devilishly intricate plot plunges its (anti) hero into a never-ending nightmare. Clint Eastwood's preferred cameraman Tom Stern (" Mystic River ", " J. Edgar ") creates an oppressive atmosphere, the hand-made action is evil and realistic. Conclusion: a stress inferno that pulls your nerves. "

“Very exciting crime film that entertains at a high level. Due to its many plot points, it sometimes maneuvers itself offside, because these are easy to see through as a display of virtuoso artistry. "
