Samy Seghir
Samy Seghir (born July 29, 1994 in Aubervilliers ) is a French actor .
Life
Seghir was born to Algerian parents in Aubervilliers. He came to film in 2006; at the time he was in fifth grade at the Collège Gabriel Péri in Aubervilliers. His mother signed him up for a casting for the film Michou d'Auber , where he convinced producer Luc Besson and eventually played alongside Nathalie Baye and Gérard Depardieu . Several films for cinema and television followed, including Leila - Harki's daughter at Leïla Bekhti's side .
In Gabriel Julien-Laferrières Neuilly sa mère! after a story by Djamel Bensalah , Seghir took on his first leading role in 2009. Bensalah again cast him in 2011 in his film Beur sur la ville alongside Sandrine Kiberlain . Seghir had previously worked in Big City in 2007, directed by Bensalah.
In César -nominated film Les petits princes of Vianney Lebasque had in 2013 held a supporting role as a football player Seghir. In the sports film Between the Waves by Christophe Offenstein , also nominated by César , he played the leading role of Mano Ixa, who takes part in the Vendée Globe as a stowaway on a single-handed sailboat, alongside François Cluzet . Other film and television roles followed.
