Sandrine Kiberlain ([kibɛrˈlɛ̃], born February 25, 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt near Paris , France ) is a French film actress , chanteuse and director.

Life

In 1986, Kiberlain had her first short film appearance in Blackmailed - The Mysterious Photo . In the years that followed, she performed in various but insignificant roles. In 1995 she was nominated for the César as best young actress for her role in state commission: Murder , which she won only a year later with having (or not) . This success meant the national breakthrough for Kiberlain and she was considered one of the great hopes for acting for the new generation of French film. In 2000 she finished the trilogy about love, work and money with the director Laetitia Masson with Love Me, which started with To Have (or Not) in 1995 and continued with For Sale in 1998 . In 2001, Kiberlain became a jury member for the 54th Cannes Film Festival . For her performance in 9 mois ferme , Kiberlain received a César for Best Actress in 2014 after she was nominated in this category in 1998, 1999 and 2010.

In 2016 she made her debut as a screenwriter and director with the short film Bonne figure with Chiara Mastroianni . A year later, she was selected as the jury president for the Caméra d'Or at the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival .

Kiberlain married the French film actor Vincent Lindon in 1998 , from whom she now lives separately.
