action

Michel has been passionate about airplanes since he was a child. On his 50th birthday, his wife gave him a voucher for a paragliding flight, but his enthusiasm was limited.

By chance he notices that the shape of a kayak resembles that of an airplane. Enthusiastic about this new idea, but without any experience, he orders a folding boat, but initially hides it from his wife.

During a one-week vacation in Burgundy, he goes on a trip in his kayak by himself . He made the acquaintance of the mature widow Laëtitia and the romantic young girl Mila in a small inn on the shore.

criticism

Jean-Baptiste Morain describes the film in Les Inrockuptibles as “poetic comedy” (French: drôlerie poétique ) and considers it “one of the most beautiful by Bruno Podalydès”. Aurélien Ferenczi writes in Telerama magazine that “no one has ever thought of the midlife crisis and filmed it like this”.
