Vimala Pons (born March 15, 1986 in Thiruvananthapuram ) is a French actress , artist and juggler of Indian descent.

Life

Vimala Pons was born in 1986 in Thiruvananthapuram , the capital of the state of Kerala in southern India. Her father worked as a bridge builder in France and, according to Pons, one day while working in Marennes-Oléron , he decided to leave the country and traveled to India. There he met her future mother. Vimala Pons' first name was chosen by a friend of her parents. She lived in India until she was ten and describes her childhood as happy.

In 2006 Pons received her first film role in the television film Gaspard the Bandit . After attending the Cours Florent , a private drama school founded by the actor François Florent in Paris, Pons studied at the Center national des arts du cirque. Here she specialized in juggling and worked with artists such as Tsirihaka Harrivel , Maroussia Diaz Verbeke and Erwan Ha-Kyoon Larcher on a research project on the circus .
