geography

Luant is about 14 kilometers southwest of Châteauroux . The Claise rises in the municipality . Luant is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Niherne in the north, Saint-Maur in the northeast, Velles in the east, Tendu in the south, La Pérouille in the west and southwest and Neuillay-les-Bois in the northwest.

The A20 autoroute limits the community to the east.
