Saint-Lactencin is a French municipality with 423 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteauroux and the canton of Buzançais . The inhabitants are called Saint-Lactencinois .
geography
Saint-Lactencin is about 15 kilometers northwest of Châteauroux . Saint-Lactencin is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Argy in the north and northwest, Francillon and Villegongis in the northeast, Chezelles in the east, Villedieu-sur-Indre in the south and southeast and Buzançais in the west and northwest.
The former Route nationale 143 runs along the southwestern edge of the municipality .
