Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Buzançais included the eleven municipalities of Argy , Buzançais , Chezelles , La Chapelle-Orthemale , Méobecq , Neuillay-les-Bois , Saint-Genou , Saint-Lactencin , Sougé , Vendœuvres and Villedieu- sur-Indre . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​438.69 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 3606.
