Villedieu-sur-Indre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Lactencin in the north and north-west, Chezelles in the north and north-east, Villers-les-Ormers in the north-east, Niherne in the east and south, Neuillay-les-Bois in the south and south-west, La Chapelle -Orthemale in the west and Buzançais in the northwest.
