Sassierges-Saint-Germain is a French municipality with 477 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteauroux and the canton of Ardentes . The inhabitants are called Germanocapiticerviens .

Sassierges-Saint-Germain is located about 16 kilometers east-southeast of Châteauroux on the Liennet River . Sassierges-Saint-Germain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mâron in the north and north-west, Ambrault in the north-east, Saint-Août in the east and south-east, Mers-sur-Indre in the south and Ardentes in the west.
