Cuzion is a French municipality with 441 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteauroux and the canton of Argenton-sur-Creuse .

geography

Cuzion is located on the Creuse , which forms the western boundary of the municipality , about 40 kilometers south of Châteauroux . The Creuse is dammed in the area between Cuzion and Éguzon-Chantôme. The resulting twelve-kilometer Lac de Chambon is used for energy generation ( Barrage d'Éguzon power station ) and for local recreation.

The districts of Le Cerisier, Les Chérons, La Jarrige, Le Champ de Roches, Bonnu, Les Couvieilles and Le Quartier belong to the municipality of Cuzion .

Neighboring municipalities of Cuzion are Gargilesse-Dampierre in the north, Saint-Plantaire in the southeast, Éguzon-Chantôme in the southwest and Baraize in the northwest.
