geography
Coings is about eight kilometers north-northeast of Châteauroux . Coings is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brion in the north, La Champenoise in the northeast, Montierchaume in the east, Déols in the south and Vineuil in the west.
The A20 autoroute runs through the municipality . The Châteauroux airport lies largely in the municipality.
