Arthon is about 13 kilometers south of Châteauroux . Here the river Creuzançais flows into the Bouzanne . Arthon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Poinçonnet in the north and northeast, Jeu-les-Bois in the east, Buxières-d'Aillac in the southeast, Bouesse in the south and Velles in the west.
