Buxières-d'Aillac is a French municipality with 256 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of La Châtre and the canton of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre (until 2015: canton of Ardentes ). The inhabitants are called Buxiérois .

Buxières-d'Aillac is located about 19 kilometers south-southeast of Châteauroux on the Auzon River . Buxières-d'Aillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jeu-les-Bois in the north and north-east, Lys-Saint-Georges in the east, Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre in the south-east, Gournay in the south, Bouesse in the west and south-west and Arthon in the north-west.
