Buxières-d'Aillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jeu-les-Bois in the north and north-east, Lys-Saint-Georges in the east, Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre in the south-east, Gournay in the south, Bouesse in the west and south-west and Arthon in the north-west.
