Sazeray is a French municipality with 302 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Châtre , the canton of La Châtre (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre ) and the communal association Communauté de communes de la Châtre et Sainte Sévère . The inhabitants are called Sazerayens .

Sazeray is located about 44 kilometers south-southeast of Châteauroux . Sazeray is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre in the north, Vigoulant in the east, Tercillat in the south and south-east, La Cellette in the south, Nouziers in the south-west and Pouligny-Notre-Dame in the west and north-west.
