Saint-Août is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ambrault in the north, Bommiers in the north and northeast, La Berthenoux in the east and southeast, Saint-Chartier in the south, Montipouret in the south and southwest, Mers-sur-Indre in the southwest and Sassierges-Saint-Germain in the west and northwest.
