Méobecq is a French municipality with 374 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteauroux and the canton of Saint-Gaultier (until 2015: canton of Buzançais ). The inhabitants are called Méobécquois .
geography
Méobecq is located about 18 kilometers west-southwest of Châteauroux on the Yoson River . Méobecq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vendœuvres in the north and west, Neuillay-les-Bois in the east and north-east and Migné in the south-west.
