Étrechet one is French community (as at 1st January 2017) with 1,008 inhabitants in the department of Indre in the region de Center-Val Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteauroux and the canton of Ardentes . The inhabitants are called Étrichiaciens .
geography
Étrechet is about six kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Châteauroux on the Indre . Étrechet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Déols in the north and northwest, Diors in the north and northeast, Mâron in the east, Ardentes in the south and southeast, Le Poinçonnet in the south and west and Châteauroux in the west.
