Jacqueline "Jackie" DeLois Moore (* 6. January 1964 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American professional wrestler and professional wrestling manager . She is best known as a wrestler for the WWE from 1998 to 2004 . She is the first woman to go up against men and the first African-American woman champion. Your wrestling nicknames are Miss Texas , Miss Tennessee or Sweet Georgia Brown .

Professional wrestling career

Training and beginnings

Jacqueline Moore began her wrestling training at a local gym after meeting professional wrestling manager Skandor Akbar. She was the only woman in Akbar's professional wrestling school in Dallas. In 1988 she began her career as Sweet Georgia Brown in World Class Championship Wrestling . She also wrestled in Japan for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling , the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association and Women's Pro Wrestling.

United States Wrestling Association and WWE (1993–1994)

Jacqueline Moore later moved to the United States Wrestling Association in Memphis , where she was known as Miss Texas . She made her debut as a heel valet for Eric Embry and Tom Prichard as part of Team Texas during the Texas-Tennessee feud . In another feud, she fought Dirty White Girl Kim Anthony in a mudpit match and a hair vs hair match. Kim Anthony won and Jacqueline had her head shaved. She later became the first USWA female winner to win the 1992 tournament for the title. Between March 1992 and August 1996 Moore won the title a total of eight times and exchanged it with Lauren Davenport, Luna Vachon and Debbie Combs. In 1993, Moore became the first woman to be included in Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500, which lists the world's 500 best professional wrestlers. After her time in the USWA, she moved to the WWE under the ring name Wynonna and directed Jeff Jarrett .

Smoky Mountain Wrestling (1995-1997)

Not being particularly popular, she moved to Smoky Mountain Wrestling under the name Sgt. Rock and joined Jim Cornette's militia, which included Tommy Rich, Robert Gibson, Terry Gordy and The Punisher. She made her debut as Sweet Georgia Brown as the manager of Kevin Sullivan , whom she helped by hitting his opponents on the body. She helped him in his feud against Chris Benoit and Sullivan's ex-wife, known as Woman . Her alliance with Sullivan ended when she turned him on with "loser must retire" in the match. She took over Harlem Heat before returning to the WWE.

Return to WWE (1998-2004)

When she returned to WWE on June 1, 1998, she made her debut as the on-screen girlfriend of Marc Mero . This led to her feud with Mero's estranged wife, Sable. Sable defeated Moore in a bikini competition at Fully Loaded . Moore and Mero were previously defeated by Edge and Sable at SummerSlam that same year before she won her first WWE Women's Championship. Later, in In Your House, Sable removed her halter neck top and revealed a painted bikini top. However, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon disqualified Sable for not wearing a traditional bikini, and Moore was declared the winner. Moore and Mero were defeated by Sable and Edge at SummerSlam on August 30th. In September, in the revived WWE Women's Championship (the women's championship was abandoned in December 1995), Moore defeated Sable to become the new champion and the first African-American woman champion. Two months later in the Survivor Series , Sable defeated Moore to become the new champion .

Second women's championship (2000)

On February 1, 2000, the episode of SmackDown , Jacqueline won the WWE Women's Championship for the second time after defeating Harvey Wippleman. She successfully defended her title against Luna Vachon, with whom she started a brief feud. In March, however, she lost the title to Stephanie McMahon after D-Generation X intervened.
